Reflecting on the theme of trust, which was central to WHS 2024, Axel R. Pries highlighted its pivotal role in global health. He emphasized that trust is the foundation of societies and global health, serving as the very essence of our collective well-being. The World Health Summit aims to act as a platform to cultivate this trust, empowering stakeholders to work together effectively to solve the world’s most pressing health challenges. A significant highlight was the pledging event for the WHO Investment Round, where a total of $1 billion was pledged to support WHO's mandate for "Health for All." This included $700 million raised during the summit, along with prior commitments from the European Union and the African Union.
